Getting out into nature—or even watching some gorgeous wild animal videos if I can’t get outside—gives me perspective. A lot of times, it’s people who make me feel doubtful, unsettled, upset, or insecure. Doing something that reminds me of the vastness and steadfastness of nature—from trees, to animals, to mountains, to oceans, to galaxies—helps me feel better. Honestly, sometimes I just look out my window at an aspen tree out back and take 10 deep breaths. That might be all I can manage, but even that little thing can help.
