As far as regaining perspective: I've always struggled with the deep desire to curl up in my shell when I've been going through a rough time, to "not bother anyone" with my problems. But I'm working on that! Because truly, nothing helps more than talking with a trusted friend or family member. I figure, hey, if I like it when they share things with me, then why wouldn't they like it when I share things with them? And I always come out of those conversations feeling far stronger and less alone!Suzy Levinson has written children's poetry for numerous magazines (including Highlights, Ladybug, and Spider) and anthologies (from publishers including Bloomsbury, Macmillan, and DK). Her debut picture book, POEMS ABOUT ANIMALS IN PANTS (Cameron Kids), is scheduled for spring of 2023. She lives in New York with her husband and most excellent cat.
A nice, long walk near trees seems to help, too. :)
