When I'm trying to regain perspective, I find it helpful to go outside. A walk in the woods (or even just around the block) helps me reset.Lisa Varchol Perron is a children's poet and author. Her poems have appeared in children's magazines, anthologies, and online poetry journals. She received the 2021 Boston Authors Club Discovery Award for picture book writers, and her debut picture book is scheduled for publication in 2023. Lisa also works as a psychotherapist, drawing largely on cognitive-behavioral therapy. She lives outside of Boston, Massachusetts with her family.
