IMPERFECT II poet Abby Wooldridge likes to remember inspiring quotes to help her stay on track:
As a recovering perfectionist, Abby sometimes catches herself having an all-or-nothing attitude. That’s when she reminds herself of this quote by Edmund Burke: “Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.”
Abby Wooldridge is a pediatric speech-language pathologist, wife, and mother of two incredible kids. She loves reading and writing and has dreamed of being an author her entire life. Though the path to publication is paved with rejection, Abby continues to share her work. When her loud inner critic tells her not to, she speaks back to it with these words from Ecclesiastes 11:4: “Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud they never harvest.”
